After two years of careful study and meticulous design, the Harry W. Lockley Early Learning Center Additions and Alterations project has reached the bidding phase.  The New Castle Area School District will be accepting bids for this much-anticipated facility until 2:00 PM  on Wednesday, June 13, 2012.

This project will consolidate all of New Castle Area School District’s K-2 students under one roof allowing for the building to be completely tailored to suit the educational needs of young students.  The existing Lockley Elementary will receive a new kindergarten wing along with the addition of a new lobby, nurse’s suite, gymnasium and cafeteria.  The addition will also include new art and music classroom spaces.  The interior of the current building will be renovated into classroom space for first and second grade students.  This project will also feature new vehicle circulation and parking for improved safety of students, faculty, and visitors who enter and exit the building.

The Harry W. Lockley Early Learning Center project will consist of approximately 58,000 square feet of additions and approximately 37,000 square feet of renovations with estimated costs totaling $17.1 million.  Click here for official public bid posting.

Write “10017 Deposit” in the Memo line, and include a request on company letterhead that includes your firm name, contact person’s name, email address, UPS shipping address (no PO Box numbers), phone and fax numbers.
